Hey! I'll dive right in with my comments:

1.) Lead – can you please clarify "favourites", "in contention" and "led up until the final turn"?

 Done

2.) Lead – "and at 195 metres the standings were: Richards in first, Hobson in second and Popovici in third" – could you please clarify this?

Changed to "and 195 metres into the race, Richards was in first, Hobson was in second and Popovici was in third".

3.) Background –  "Great Britain's defending Olympic champion Tom Dean was not returning to defend his title, as Richards and Scott had secured Great Britain's two qualification spots ahead of him." – could you please reword this? I didn't understand what this means

Change to "Great Britain's Tom Dean won the event at the previous Olympics, but since each competing nation was only allowed to enter two athletes, and Richards and Scott had been chosen to swim instead of him, he did not compete"

4.) Could you please clarify what "of the season" means? Is it for the 2024 games or something else?

Changed to "fastest qualifying time"

5.) Semifinals – "while Scott behind him with the second fastest qualifying time of 1:44.94" – could you please reword this?

I missed adding "finished" to make "while Scott finished behind him with the second fastest qualifying time"

6.) Final – "During the race, Hobson had the fastest turns and underwaters, while Popovici was the fastest during the front crawl sections" – could you please clarify what this means?

I can't think of a way to reword this. "Tumble turn" and "underwater" are linked earlier, so I changed "turn" to "tumble turn" to make it clear they are the same thing. The thing is, none of the terms can be explained very concisely, but they are all essential to keep the meaning of the sentence. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Once these have been addressed I'll do a source spotcheck and pass it :) DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 23:08, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@DaniloDaysOfOurLives Thanks again!! I replied above and made the changes in the article. IAWW (talk) 23:31, 9 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, great work! I have spotchecked sources #7, #10, #13 and #17. Earwig also shows no copyright violations. Upon inspecting source #17, I added something tiny to add a bit more context. I am passing it, well done! DaniloDaysOfOurLives (talk) 02:02, 10 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unencyclopedic detail in lead (laps in 200m)

[edit]

I trimmed the lead per MOS:LEDE to better summarize key points as no need to state what length the pool is and how many laps (4) to do 200m. Similar issue was raised earlier and resolved: see talk. See also User:IP49XX/Why MOS Matters for further explanation. IP49XX (talk) 01:00, 13 May 2025 (UTC)[reply]
