Change article Title

[edit]

Hello: I work with Jon Levy (behaviorist) and have a conflict of interest (COI) relationship regarding edits to the Wikipedia article about him. Therefore, I am requesting edits via the Talk Page in accordance with Wikipedia’s rules.

I would like to request an edit to the title of the article to read Jon Levy (behavioral scientist). The first sentence of the article would then read: Jonathan Levy is an American behavioral scientist, social networker and author. I have included four sources that support this edit. Thank you for your time. Best, Maryinfluencers (talk) 17:13, 6 January 2025 (UTC) Already cited in article: [1][2] [3] [4] [5] Maryinfluencers (talk) 17:13, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

To me at least "behaviourist" and "behavioural scientist" (and variations on spelling) have the same meaning, making the title change redundant. Also, this isn't the way to suggest renaming the article, see WP:MOVE for how to do that. Ultraodan (talk) 07:12, 7 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you User:Ultraodan for your response to my request. The main difference between a behaviorist and a behavioral scientist is that a behaviorist adheres to and uses theories, while a behavioral scientist tests, develops, and modifies the theory of behaviorism through research. Jon’s work is research based, which is where the science comes in. Could we add ‘behavioral scientist’ to the first sentence of the article? Thank you again for your time. Thanks for the clarification. Since I'm not familiar with Levy can you point me to any reliable sources that refer to him as a behavioural scientist? Ultraodan (talk) 04:43, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hi User:Ultraodan: I appreciate your quick reply! My original request includes four formatted sources to support the edit. I’m hoping these will do the trick. Best, Maryinfluencers (talk) 17:04, 21 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Add book information

[edit]

Hello:

I would like to request adding an edit regarding the release of Jon’s 2021 book. Thank you! Maryinfluencers (talk) 17:05, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

In 2021, Levy released his second book, “You’re Invited: The Art and Science of Cultivating Influence,” which explains the social and psychological dynamics behind his Influencers Dinners.[1] Maryinfluencers (talk) 17:05, 28 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

@Maryinfluencers  Partly done: I have added the first part, could you please improve the grammar of the second part of the sentence. It isn't very clear to me TNM101 (chat) 07:05, 8 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Hello User:TNM101: Thank you for making part of this edit request. As requested I have fixed the grammar/writing of the additional content regarding this book. Here is what I have written. The citation is the same one you used from the Wall Street Journal. Thank you, Maryinfluencers (talk) 16:06, 18 March 2025 (UTC)[reply]
In 2021, Levy released his second book, “You’re Invited: The Art and Science of Cultivating Influence”, published by HarperCollins. The book explains the science behind Levy’s Influencers Dinners. Levy’s research found that “Our influence is a by-product of who we are connected to, their trust in us in that capacity, and the sense of community we share.”.[1]

Hello User:PK650. Thank you for your note on my edit request on the article about Jon Levy (behavioral scientist). On February 8, user TNM101 completed part of the edit asking that I improve the grammar on the second part of the entry. On March 18, I provided additional content to meet that request. Are you able to add the content I provided that day to follow the last sentence in the career section? It includes a WSJ citation. Thank you for your time.
