Sheikh Zayed International Airport (IATA: RYK, ICAO: OPRK), also known as Rahim Yar Khan Airport, is located at Rahim Yar Khan, in the Punjab province of Pakistan. It is named after Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who funded the construction of the airport and the road to his palace in Rahim Yar Khan.[3][4]

Incidents

  • 10 May 2025: During the 2025 India–Pakistan conflict, Indian launched rockets cratered the airport runway and damaged the Royal Lounge. According to Indian media, the airport was to remain closed till 06 June 2025 to finish repair works on the bombed runway. [5][6][7][8]
