Molly Seaton

Mary Ann Seaton (2 September 1905 – 12 January 1974)[1] was a Northern Irish footballer.[2]
Early life
[edit]Seaton was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1905 and at the age of nine her father died.[3]
Career
[edit]Seaton was nicknamed "Big Molly".[4] She played for clubs including men's teams.[5] She also captained the Ireland women's team.[6] She had an agent, Josie Farrell, who also worked as a boxing agent.[1] She is regarded as Ireland's greatest women's footballer of all time.[7]
Death
[edit]Seaton died on 12 January 1974 aged sixty-eight.[1][8]
