Makhdoom (Arabic: مخدوم, meaning one who is served and sometimes spelled Makhdum,Bengali: মখদুম, romanizedMokhdumis) is an Arabic word meaning "Teacher of Sunnah." It is a title and caste as well, mostly for Pirs, and landlords in South and Central Asia.
