Kosi-Seemanchal is a subregion of Mithila region[1] in the Northeastern part of Bihar. It consists of Kosi and Purnia divisions.[citation needed] It has seven districts — Araria, Madhepura, Saharsa, Supaul, Purnea, Kishanganj and Katihar.[2]
