Irene Zikusooka is a Ugandan female broadcaster and filmmaker who pioneered female broad casting while working at the Uganda Broadcasting Corporation (UTV) as a programme controller. She had a style and away with words while presenting on TV. She was a daughter of late Rev canon James Zikusooka and Kekulina Zikusooka.[1]

[edit]Irene Zikusooka has bachelor of Arts in Sociology from reading University of United Kingdom and a postgraduate diploma in film and television production from the United States of America.[2]
Irene Zikusooka got married to Paul Martin Leta at a quiet ceremony held at St. Paul's Bugembe, Saturday December 23, 2000. The two were spotted having a quiet drink at the popular city bar in town during the week.[3]
Career
[edit]Irene Zikusooka was listed as Uganda top 50 women movers by life in daily monitor. She was also a chairman, miss Tourism Uganda pageant for some period of time.[4]
