Description
English: TWO WOMEN MEMBERS OF THE VOLUNTEER AIR OBSERVERS CORPS (VAOC) ON DUTY AT AN OBSERVATION POST, OF WHICH THERE WERE ABOUT 2800 THROUGHOUT AUSTRALIA. ALL AIRCRAFT HEARD OR SEEN WERE REPORTED TO THE RAAF TO KEEP A CHECK ON THEIR MOVEMENTS AND ENABLE THEM TO BE AIDED IF IN DISTRESS. (COPY IN ALBUM PRESENTED TO DR EDITH SUMMERSKILL P.61)
