Summary

Description
English: Logo used by the União Nacional (authoritarian party of the Estado Novo regime in Portugal), as seen on the cover of Águedo de Oliveira's A União Nacional como direcção política única, 1938 ed. This is an updated version of the logo used earlier in the 1930s (on which see Carneiro Pacheco, O retrato do chefe, and Manuel Rodrigues, O cidadão do Estado Novo, both 1935). The variant was still used in the 1960s; see: Os atestados de bom comportamento moral e civil até ao 25 de Abril de 1974.
