English: The new Steiner Military 8×30 R binoculars,which replace the Avimo General Purpose Binocular L12A1 7x42 first issued to the Army in 1979.

Lightweight and ergonomic Steiner Military 8×30 R binoculars. Designed to be easier to hold, the new models are 50% lighter than the previous issue, but still offer increased magnification to give better situational awareness.
