Description
English: The American mycologist Roland Thaxter. Lloyd notes "Professor Thaxter is now in his fifty-ninth year, quiet and reserved. It is always a pleasure to meet him. On our rare visits to Harvard we have always enjoyed a visit with him. The photograph that we present today was taken four or five years ago, but is an excellent likeness of him today." p. 622.
