Purpose of use in article (WP:NFCC#8)	The image will be providing a brief explanation as to what a prospecting pick is and what it is used for. The picture will show what a prospecting pickaxe looks like, and the caption shall provide a brief description of its use. The article itself does not mention a prospector's picaxe or its use, even though it holds a considerable title in many communities.
Not replaceable with free media because (WP:NFCC#1)	I searched for an image that was explicitly free of copyright, however I could not find one. I also do not own a prospecting pickaxe of my own to image.
Minimal use (WP:NFCC#3)	The image is very specific, and will very likely be used on only one article. It is also not too high-definition, as it is 800x800px and can be easily scaled down.
Respect for commercial opportunities (WP:NFCC#2)	Even though the image was originally published with commercial intent, no logos are visible and there is no way of identifying the pick as belonging to any particular party.
Other information	The exact day/month that the file was uploaded is indeterminate, although according to the site history the file was uploaded between January 2012, and December the same year.
