English: Portrait of Lady Laetitia à Court, half-length, in a white muslin dress with satin bows.

Sitting, elbow resting on the table, and head resting on her hand; white muslin dress with satin bows; large black hat with ostrich feather.

Sittings, &c.: 1786, April 10, 17, 19, 28, May 10, 17, 22. 1786, June 5, received of Mr. A'Court for his lady's picture, 3-qrs., £21. «The original of this portrait, now the property of Mrs. Ismay, was sold by the second Baron Heytesbury; a copy of it is at Heytesbury House, Wilts.» (A'COURT, MRS.)

Laetitia (d. 1821) was the daughter of Henry Wyndham, Esq. of Salisbury, and married Sir William Pierce Ashe à Court (c. 1747-1816) on 30 October 1777. Sir William was M.P. for Heytesbury and was created a baronet in 1795. Several sittings for Romney are recorded in April and May of 1786.
