Summary

Description
English: The coat of arms of Pope Eugene III (1145–1153), according to John Woodward, A Treatise on Ecclesiastical Heraldry (1894) and to Horace K. Mann, The Lives of the Popes in the Middle Ages (1925).

The blazon is: Argent, a crescent azure, in chief a label gules.

Note that some sources may show alternate coats of arms for Pope Eugene III. For example, some etchings show the design here with a chief divided per pale, while others show completely different designs with chevrons or bends.
