| Description | This is a firestop drawing, intended to accompany a firestop specification section 07840, which shows through-penetrations that require firestopping, mechanical, electrical or structural in nature, in a noncombustible wall or floor assembly required to have a fire-resistance rating; German: Brandrate. For mechanical through-penetrations (e.g. pipe) the certification listing may allow the pipe insulation to penetrate through the firestop, or it may have to butt up to the firestop. Determining factors are found in the bounding of the certification listing. |
