The Mogao Caves, also known as the Thousand Buddha Grottoes, are a magnificent ensemble of Buddhist art and culture located near Dunhuang, in the Gansu province of China. These caves are celebrated for their extensive collection of murals and sculptures that span a period of a thousand years, showcasing the evolution of Buddhist art in the region.

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Mogao Caves offer a unique glimpse into the religious, cultural, and intellectual exchanges that took place along the ancient Silk Road.
