Architecte : Pierre Drobecq et Louis Debrouwer Date : 1931 L'hotel de ville, de style anglo-normand, a été construit entre 1929 et 1931 par les architectes Pierre Drobecq et Louis Debrouwer. Le beffroi mesure 38m de haut. Il contient un carillon sonnant les quarts et les demies. L'hotel de ville se caractérise par un style éclectique composé d'un style régional (utilisation des pierres de Bainchtun et d' Hydrequent), un style normand (on y trouve des pans de bois cimentés) et un style gothique anglais (comme on peut le voir sur façade de la bibliothèque et par la composition avec fenêtres en ogives). "Sont inscrits la façade, les toitures, la salle des fêtes et son décor, la salle des mariages et son décor." |
