English: Kabul, Pul-i-Charkhi prison. ICRC family visit in detention programme. An ICRC staff member discusses with visitors.
ICRC occasionally supports extremely vulnerable families around the country to visit their relative detained in Pul-i-Charkhi prison in Kabul. ICRC pays transport from their place of origin, accommodation in Kabul and money for food. This program is organized on an ad-hoc basis for the people without any means who have not been able to visit their relative in years. In average, 3 families per month are supported. This is parallel to the main support of the ICRC to visits of families of detainees in Bagram prison (detainees in link to the conflict), a program in which an average of 400 families each month are visiting their relatives.Français : Kaboul, prison de Pul-i-Charkhi. Le CICR vient en aide aux familles les plus vulnérables du pays afin qu’elles puissent rendre visite à leurs proches en détention à la prison de Pul-i-Charkhi, à Kaboul. Le CICR prend en charge les frais liés au transport, au logement et à l’achat de nourriture des familles. Ce programme est organisé ponctuellement pour les personnes sans ressources qui n’ont pas pu voir leurs proches depuis des années. En moyenne, trois familles par mois sont aidées et cela en parallèle du programme d’aide du CICR pour les familles des détenus de la prison de Bagram (il s’agit des détentions qui ont eu lieu dans le cadre de ce conflit) qui permet, en moyenne, à 400 familles de rendre visite chaque mois à leurs proches.Deutsch: Kabul, Pul-i-Charkhi Gefängnis.
