Beschreibung des Wappens:„In Gold (Gelb) unter einem schwarzen Schildhaupt, worin ein aus dem linken Obereck hervorgehender goldener (gelber) Blitz, ein rotbewehrter schwarzer balzender Birkhahn, dessen Flügel und Schwanz silber (weiß) gekennzeichnet sind.“
Beschreibung der Flagge:„Die Flagge der Stadt Wiesmoor ist grün-gelb längs gestreift mit dem Wiesmoor-Wappen in der Mitte der Flagge. Das Wiesmoor-Wappen hat als Umrandung und als Grundfarbe unter dem Blitz eine dunkelbraune Farbe (moorbraun). Der Birkhahn ist auf weißem Grund schwarz-weiß, wie auf dem Wappen dargestellt.“
