Color azul: (parte superior)

Primordialmente representa el vínculo entre la Bandera Nacional y Estadal como muestra de respeto y en una tonalidad más clara, que es característico en los cielos de los estados que se encuentran cerca de las costas y por ser parte de los 14 municipios que los conforman, somos cubiertos por ese hermoso color.

Planta de Café, Caña, y Maíz: (Centro)

Representación de los 3 rubros que históricamente han tenido más peso a nivel de producción y proyección en el ámbito nacional e internacional en el municipio.

Forma de Cerro en Color Blanco: (parte central)

Icono representativo de los cocoroteños, cuyo nombre “Cerritos Blancos de Cocorote” formo parte del inicio de la historia como uno de los puntos más importantes en el intercambio comercial de todo un estado

Tinaja de barro: (Centro)

Símbolo de remembranza de lo que un día fue llamado “Ciudad de Tinajas” y tributo a nuestros artesanos, que durante muchos años han moldeado con sus manos artesanía de nuestra propia materia prima. Ya que contamos con diferentes tipos de suelos arcillosos dando así una extensa gama de variedad.

Representada como surcos la disponibilidad del suelo cocoroteño, siempre listo para la agriculturacomo una de las principales actividades económicas con una calidad de suelo tipo 1

Mapa de color Amarillo: (Centro)

Forma que representa nuestra extensión territorial de 135 Km2, con un color amarillo simbolizando la verdadera riqueza de los seres humanos, como lo es el suelo ya que nos permite los Alimentos como fuente de energía para nuestras vidas, siendo soporte y materia prima necesaria para construir viviendas.
