The Emil Bach House in Chicago (1915). Bach comissioned Frank Lloyd Wright to design the house because he was an admirer of his body of work. Bach was a shareholder (with his four brothers) of the Bach Brick Company, Inc., which was located at 2647 Montrose Avenue. His company patented the closed top kiln and produced 200,000 bricks a day.
