Summary
 | This image needs to have its border removed. Where borders are desired they should be added with wikimarkup or code.
NOTE: Engravings, etchings, photogravures, or any image where information would be lost, or the frame is integral part of the original postcard, document etc., DO NOT NEED their borders cropped; a cropped image of this type generally will violate the original artistic intent of the image, which includes the paper surrounding it. Especially images with {{Border is intentional}} should be not overwritten. If it is desirable to have a cropped version for specific uses, this should be uploaded as a separate file, and linked back to the original. This can be requested by using {{Extract image}} instead. For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. This description has been identified as biased or incorrect: GDR propaganda language Vom NATO-Hauptquartier bei Paris ist am 4. Juni 64 die Bildung der bereits angekündigten Planungsgruppe bei der Standing Group der NATO in Washington und die Ernennung des westdeutschen Generalmajors Ernst Ferber (49) zu ihrem Direktor bekanntgegeben worden. Ferber (unser Foto), der zuletzt dem "Führungsstab der Bundeswehr" angehörte, war einer der hitlerischen "Generalstäbler der letzten Stunde". Er hatte eine Blitzkarriere unter den Nazis hinter sich, als er 1943 im Alter von nur 29 Jahren in den faschistischen Generalstab berufen wurde. Der NATO-Stab Nazi-Ferbers soll bereits am 1. Juli seine Arbeit aufnehmen. |
