For documentary purposes the German Federal Archive often retained the original image captions, which may be erroneous, biased, obsolete or politically extreme. Das Riesenflugboot "Do X" startet zum ersten Europa- und Amerika-Flug! Die erste Etappe führt das Flugschiff von Altenrhein/Schweiz nach Amsterdam. Von hier aus besucht das Flugboot die englische Hafenstadt Southhampton, wo sie vom Prinzen of Wales besichtigt wird. Dann fliegt sie weiter nach Cherbourg und Lissabon, von wo der endgültige Start über den Ozean nach Amerika stattfindet. |
