English: UK Blighty Shellcase
Français : Blighty ! L’Angleterre ! Douille d’obus martelée et gravée de deux Tommies blessés près des falaises de Douvres. Les Britanniques, les Canadiens et d’autres soldats du Commonwealth appelaient l’Angleterre « Blighty » (bonne blessure), terme qui désignait également une blessure qui n’était pas mortelle. « Blighty » signifiait donc à la fois la « patrie » ou le « pays » et, pour les soldats en campagne, était une référence d’humour noir à des blessures non mortelles qui leur permettraient de passer du temps loin du front. Le mot lui-même est une version anglicisée du mot hindi pour « pays natal » adopté par les troupes britanniques en Inde au XIXe siècle.
