Vintage Mason Magic Scoop, the magic being the dimple in the middle for ease of extraction. L.E. Mason Co. Boston, Mass. –Pat. App'd For. Bought by my mother in 1950s Illinois, I had noticed the grey residue it left in vanilla ice cream as a kid! It's retired now and serves as a paperweight. Handle end has a Phillips screw such that it can be used as a bottle opener!
