Description2019 S 1 CFHT 2019-07-02 15x205s stack annotated.png
English: Additive-stacked composite of 15 CFHT images of Saturn's moon S/2019 S 1 (center dot) on the 2 July 2019. The moon is tracked to its motion to make it more visible among the surrounding stars. The additive stack of multiple images is necessary to detect the moon, as it is extremely faint (magnitude 25) and barely visible in the individual frames. Each frame is a 205-second exposure in the wild-band GRI filter, with mid-exposure times starting from 1 July 2019 09:16 to 10:14 UT. The frames are separated by approximately 4-minute intervals. North is up and East is left.
