English: Name: Kibbutz Magen Description: Kibbutz Magen The kibbutz was founded by core members of Hashomer Hatzair from Romania, some of whom spent about a year in the detention camps in Cyprus, joined by core members of Hashomer Hatzair born in Israel and later core men and women from Western Europe. עברית: שם: קיבוץ מגן תיאור: קיבוץ מגן את הקיבוץ ייסדו בני גרעין של השומר הצעיר מרומניה שחלקם שהו כשנה במחנות המעצר בקפריסין, אליהם הצטרפו בני גרעינים של השומר הצעיר מילידי הארץ ובהמשך בני ובנות גרעינים ממערב אירופה. הערות: קיבוץ מגן את הקיבוץ ייסדו בני גרעין של השומר הצעיר מרומניה שחלקם שהו כשנה במחנות המעצר בקפריסין, אליהם הצטרפו בני גרעינים של השומר הצעיר מילידי הארץ ובהמשך בני ובנות גרעינים ממערב אירופה. העלייה על הקרקע הייתה בתאריך 16 באוגוסט 1949 על שרידי משלט שיח' נוראן, שנכבש בראשית דצמבר 1948, במהלך מבצע אסף על ידי גדוד 89 של חטיבה 8, חטיבת יצחק שדה. גבעת השיח' היא הנקודה הגבוהה ביותר באזור ומשמשת נקודת תצפית אל עבר יישובי המועצה האזורית אשכול ודרום רצועת עזה. מיקום: קיבוץ מגן קובץ מקורי: IMG_2883.JPG |
