Michael Efe Ejeba (born February 25, 1993), popularly known as Efe or Efe Money, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, song-writer, and record producer.[1] He is the winner of Big Brother Naija season 2 with a cash prize reward of 25 million naira and a brand new SUV after an intriguing 78 days in the house competing with other housemates.[2][3][4]
Early life and education
[edit]Michael Efe Ejeba born February 25, 1993, is a native of Delta State but was born and brought up in Jos, Plateau State. He attended his primary school at Dafwaho private school. Micheal went to Federal Government College, Jos. He is a graduate of University of Jos, Plateau.[5]
Career
[edit]His first official single "Based on Logistics" was released in 2017 receiving positive reviews.[6] He dropped a single featuring Olamide, titled "Warri".[7]
Efe Money blends his rap with Pidgin to connect with the music taste of audiences across the country. His musical influences are Eminem, Dr. Dre, Bone Thugs-n-Harmony, 50 Cent, M.I Abaga, Naeto C.
On 4 November 2023, Efe performed as a headline act in the United States at a boxing match between Efe Ajagba and Joseph Goodall (boxer). He performed his new single "Money Talk" [8].[9]
He has collaborated with notable Nigerian artistes like Ice Prince, Illbliss, Vector (rapper), Oritse Femi, Jaywon, Victor Thompson (musician).
Awards
[edit]In 2017, he was appointed as an Ambassador of entertainment and creative industry au and Youth Ambassador by the Nigeria Ministry of Youth and sport.[10][11][12] In 2018, he became African Ambassador for Indian Varsity.[13][14][15]
