You could, just merge the draft with the mainspace article then move it to that title, because I prefer seeing the main space article's history being preserved. Gautam (etymology) is not exactly a very developed article. There are also far many more Spencers than Gautamas.

As for the discussion, there's not much I can get out of it as no conclusion seemed to have been reached. I am of course not an expert on such things, although until you have further reasoning I'll stick with what I originally said. If needed, I do also recommend reaching out to far more experienced users when it comes to this specifically. I am not the most experienced user whatsoever, especially when it comes to this matter.
