Notes

[edit]
  1. ^ No Affiliation is used by Elections Canada when a candidate leaves the Party Affiliation entry blank on his or her registration; this is often done by candidates from unregistered political parties.
  2. ^ Not related to earlier parties with the same name in 2009–2016 and 2018–2020.
  3. ^ a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o p q r s t u v w x y z aa ab ac ad ae af ag ah A previous candidate was announced but withdrew, died or was dropped.
  4. ^ The Conservative Party's website briefly listed their own Patrick Bonin for this riding in mid-January 2025.
  5. ^ Name spelt Faycal on party website.
  6. ^ a b There will not be a byelection because the riding became vacant within nine months of the scheduled date of a general election.
  7. ^ Party candidate page lists her with her old riding, Durham, but her correct riding appears elsewhere.
  8. ^ Dong announced he will run again in this riding and hopes that the Liberal Party will make him their candidate. He's listed here as an independent because that's his current affiliation in the House of Commons.
  9. ^ Ali was announced as running in Brampton Centre under the old riding boundaries in a 2023 tweet[197] but shifted ridings by the time a candidate page was added to the party website in 2024.
  10. ^ Kowalski is a satire candidate or troll operating on X.com; the Conservative Party has stated that he will not be considered for nomination.
  11. ^ Jeremy Nixon was initially announced as the winner in a close vote;[320] a recount the next day gave McKenzie the victory by seven votes.[321]
  12. ^ The party website has her name as Sanaz Mani but her Facebook account has her name as Sanaz Mah.[368]
