The Alabama State Hornets basketball team is the men's basketball team that represents Alabama State University in Montgomery, Alabama, United States. The school's team currently competes in the NCAA Division I as a member of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC). The Hornets have appeared five times in the NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament, most recently in 2025. Alabama State has one win all-time at the NCAA tournament, defeating Saint Francis in the First Four at the 2025 NCAA tournament.
