General Information |
The 2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia-Pacific Regional Final will be a cricket tournament that forms part of the qualification process for the 2026 Men's T20 World Cup. It will be held in Oman from 8 to 17 October 2025.[1]
The top three sides in the tournament will join Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka in the 2026 T20 World Cup who have already pre-qualified.[2][3] India and Sri Lanka directly qualified for the T20 World Cup as co-hosts,[4] while Afghanistan, Australia and Bangladesh qualified as by finishing among the top eight teams from the previous edition and New Zealand and Pakistan qualified through the ICC Men's T20I Team Rankings.[5]
Teams and qualification
[edit]In this cycle, a total of 14 teams participated in the Asian sub-regional phase and 8 teams were participating in the EAP sub-regional phase. The Asian sub-regional phase was divided into two events of seven teams[6][7] and the EAP sub-regional phase was divided into two events of four teams.[8][9]
The top two sides of each Asia sub-regional qualifier along with the winners of EAP sub-regional qualifiers will advance to a combined regional final, where they will join Nepal, Oman and Papua New Guinea who received a bye after participating in the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.[10][11]
