The 1958 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship final was the 71st All-Ireland Final and the deciding match of the 1958 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, an inter-county Gaelic football tournament for the top teams in Ireland.

Dublin won comfortably over Derry, appearing in their first final, with goals by Owen Gribben and Paddy Farnan.[1][clarification needed]

Legacy
[edit]Players from both teams involved in the game had a golden jubilee reunion in 2008, organised with the help of Dublin's 1970s footballers such as Alan Larkin.[2]

In 2008 they organised a golden jubilee for the Dublin team that won the All-Ireland in 1958, for those still alive and able to attend, and then decided to extend the invitation to Derry, the losing finalists. Around 11 attended from the Derry team. 'For some of them it was the first time they had spoken since they shook hands walking off the field in 1958', says [Alan] Larkin.
